INTRODUCTION
VCMA is a division of A-Step Consulting (Holdings) (Pty) Ltd. We render services in the Industrial Relations genre, Labour Law, Basic Conditions of Employment disputes and compliance Law, Company Law and general contract law.

- To supply dispute resolution by way of Pre-Dismissal Arbitration virtually.
- To professionally and highly effectively replace the cumbersome current dispute resolution processes by way of a single hearing. Thus eliminating the three tier system. No longer follow the processes of internal disciplinary hearing, followed by the Dispute Resolution Sentra’s conciliation process and eventually concluded by an arbitration processes. Replace the aforementioned, with a single judicial adjudication sitting.
- Ensuring that the procedures are followed to the letter of the law, in a single combined Disciplinary, Conciliation and Arbitration process, known as a pre-dismissal arbitration.
- Ensuring that justice is dealt a swift hand and ensuring that neither employee, nor employer are prejudiced or subjected to bias in the adjudication process.
- No more “forced” settlements or “ex-gratia” payments due to nuisance value.
- Swift and professional awards rendered by legal practitioners. All presiding officers are qualified Arbitrators and registered similarly.
All Arbitrators will be registered legal practitioners with at least 5 years of active legal experience.

NO FURTHER LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY/COSTS
- No longer is it necessary to take all the witnesses out of their work station or off site.
- No longer is there a need to travel to the nearest Dispute Resolution Centrum.
- No longer is it necessary to remove senior employees and witnesses from their workplace for a day or even a portion of a day, first during the disciplinary hearing, then the Conciliation and finally the Arbitration.
- All procedures are conducted virtually. All procedures are conducted from the desk/workstations of the Complainant, the Accused and the witnesses alike.
- The eradication of intimidation of witnesses, as the witnesses are safely protected in the workplace, without prolonged periods of exposure to aggressive accused’s or representatives.
- All records, witnesses and proof is always at hand.
- Professional witnesses, such as undercover investigators, forensic investigators, polygraph experts and auditors, (for example), will only be needed once and thus will only render a single bill.

COST SAVINGS
VCMA renders pre-dismissal arbitration services at a cost that will save you thousands of Rands per hearing.
Preparation for the Pre-Dismissal Arbitration hearing includes the services of one of our specialist prosecuting “Complainant” consultants / alternatively, Defence Lawyers, who will either via TEAMS/ZOOM or another virtual platform, guide your internal COMPLAINANT/ACCUSED, in either the drawing of the charges or the heads of argument in defence.

RETAINERS AND ONCE-OFF COSTS
Services are rendered on a pre-paid retainer fee basis and minimal extra charges are accumulated over and above the extremely affordable monthly retainer fee. We do, however, offer once-off Section 188A Arbitrations at the price of R7550-00 for non-repeat clients. And if clients would like to experience a trial run with the view of becoming a permanent retainer client, we offer a R3550-00 once off discounted service.
